Terms of Service

JengaCost ("the Service") provides construction cost estimating, preliminary design concepts and bill-of-quantities tools for the Kenyan market.

1. Estimates are indicative

All rates, estimates, plans and schedules produced by the Service — including AI-generated designs and takeoffs — are preliminary and for budgeting purposes only. They are not construction documents, do not constitute professional advice, and must be verified with local suppliers and a registered professional before you commit money. Building approvals require drawings prepared by registered professionals.

2. Your account and content

You are responsible for your account credentials and for the accuracy of data you enter. Your projects are private unless you create a public share link, which anyone with the link can view until you regenerate it.

3. Payments

Paid plans and BOQ credits are billed in Kenyan Shillings via M-Pesa. Pro subscriptions run for 30 days per payment and do not auto-renew. Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy.

4. Fair use

AI features are subject to daily limits on the free plan. Abuse, scraping, or resale of the Service's data without permission is not allowed.

5. Marketplace & quotes

When you request quotes, JengaCost forwards your project details to the vendors you selected; vendors contract with you directly and JengaCost is not a party to that contract. Vendors may pay JengaCost marketplace fees — these are flat per category, never change the price you pay, and never affect how quotes are ranked (always by price). We verify vendor registrations at onboarding but do not guarantee any vendor's performance. Structural engineering requests are handled by JengaCost's founder, disclosed as such.

6. Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, JengaCost is not liable for losses arising from reliance on estimates, designs or schedules produced by the Service.
